LED televisions are among the most common sets we work on. Faults range from backlight strip failure — which causes a dim or dark screen — to power board capacitor issues, T-CON board faults, and main board failures.
We carry a range of LED backlight strips for popular panel sizes and can source components for less common models. Repair time depends on parts availability, but most LED faults can be diagnosed within the same visit.
Older LCD televisions with CCFL backlights present different fault patterns from modern LED sets. Inverter board failure, lamp failure, and main board issues are the most frequent problems we encounter.
Smart TVs add software, Wi-Fi, and app platform complexity on top of standard display hardware. We handle both hardware faults and software-level problems including firmware recovery and network module issues.
Physical damage to the panel — cracks, impact marks, or delamination — requires panel replacement. We assess whether a replacement panel is economically viable given the TV's age and model before recommending this option.
A TV that won't turn on, shuts off unexpectedly, or trips the circuit breaker usually has a power supply fault. We test the power board, identify failed components (typically capacitors or MOSFETs), and repair or replace as needed.
The main board handles video processing, audio output, tuner function, and HDMI switching. Faults here can cause a range of symptoms. We repair at component level where possible, which is often more cost-effective than a full board replacement.
