Hardware and software fault diagnosis for Android TV, Samsung Tizen, LG WebOS, and other Smart TV platforms in Gurugram.
A Smart TV combines standard display hardware with an embedded computing platform — an operating system, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, an app store, and network connectivity. This means faults can originate in either the hardware layer or the software layer, and distinguishing between the two is an important first step in diagnosis.
We work on all major Smart TV platforms including Android TV (used by Sony, Mi/Xiaomi, TCL, OnePlus), Samsung Tizen, LG WebOS, Philips Saphi, and Hisense VIDAA. While platform-specific knowledge is needed for software-level work, the underlying hardware fault patterns are largely consistent across brands.
Wi-Fi module failure is one of the most common Smart TV hardware faults. Symptoms include the TV failing to detect any networks, connecting intermittently, or dropping connection repeatedly despite strong signal. We replace the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module with a compatible unit and verify connectivity after installation.
Firmware corruption — often caused by a failed update or a power cut mid-update — can leave a Smart TV in a boot loop or render it completely unresponsive. We perform firmware recovery using manufacturer tools and service-mode procedures for supported models. Not all models support software-level recovery without replacement hardware.
Apps crashing, slow interface response, or the TV freezing during use are often software-related. We clear caches, reset app data, and in some cases perform a factory reset after backing up available settings. Where performance issues persist after a full reset, hardware fault is investigated.
HDMI port failure — whether physical pin damage or controller IC fault — is handled as part of main board diagnosis. We test all input ports during inspection and isolate whether the fault is in the port, the cable, the connected device, or the TV's main board.
Smart TVs are still subject to all standard display hardware failures — backlight failure, T-CON board faults, power supply issues. We diagnose and repair these in the same way as standard LED or LCD sets, independent of the Smart TV platform layer.
